Делегирование не работает быстро с subview

Изменить: кто-то предположил, что это дубликат другого вопроса. Это не я реализовал:
- (NSInteger) tableView: (UITableView *) tableView numberOfRowsInSection: (NSInteger) section // (конечно, быстро).
В ViewController я программно создаю tableView и добавляю его как subview. У меня есть класс с именем DataSource, который принимает UITableViewDelegate и UITableViewDataSource через два расширения.
Я следую приведенному здесь примеру
Я получаю сообщение об ошибке:
ViewController tableView: numberOfRowsInSection:]: неопознанный селектор отправлен в экземпляр 0x7f88cc406ac0 '
0x7f88cc406ac0 - адрес содержащего ViewController.
Даже если я заставляю содержащий ViewController использовать UITableViewDelegate через расширение, а затем вызываю реализацию DataSource tableView: numberOfRowsInSection, я все равно вижу ошибку.
